THAI NEXT — When the Seeds Bloom

The Foundry, Long Island City, New York
Participating Artist · Production Manager · Workshop Instructor
THAI NEXT: When the Seeds Bloom was a multidisciplinary art and community event bringing together Thai and Thai-connected artists, performers, makers, and creative communities in New York. Through visual art, performance, workshops, food, and community activities, the event created a lively space for creative exchange and connection.
For this project, I took on multiple roles. as a Participating Artist, Production Manager, and Workshop Instructor - contributing both creatively and behind the scenes.
Participating Artist
I presented my textile work as part of the visual art exhibition alongside artists working across a range of disciplines and creative practices.
Embroidery Workshop
As part of the Workshop & Activities program, I led an Embroidery Workshop from 12:00–2:00 PM, inviting participants to explore hand-stitching through fabric, color, and texture.
The workshop offered a relaxed, hands-on introduction to embroidery while sharing the tactile and meditative process that is an important part of my own artistic practice.
Production & Behind the Scenes
As Production Manager, I worked closely with the organizing team throughout the planning and production of THAI NEXT, contributing to coordination, installation, and on-site operations.
Being involved both behind the scenes and as a participating artist gave me the opportunity to experience the project from different perspectives from helping bring the event together to sharing my own work and creative process with the community.
